Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I, Niauhoe, on the Island of Molokai, have an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Honouli; its name is Kulauala and its length is 1 chain 8 fathoms, and the width is 1 /chain?/. On the eastward side is Pioese, and on the leeward side is a stream. In the `ili of Heo is a kula for this land, from inland to seaward, entering far into the sea.

Furthermore, there is a place for my keikis, named Kapapala, which is 2 chains long by 1 chain wide. This land also has a kula, however, it does not go ar far as the sea. These lo`is are together at the stream and lie from the sea inward.

My occupancy of this land is from my kupunas, in the time when Kamehameha I was living, until the present The first `li`i was Kaiko who was dispossessed, then Haaheo, who was dispossessed, then Keohokalole. The first konohiki was Kahilinalo, then Kekuanui, Kaha, Mauna, and Lima. The witnesses are Kauakahi, Kahoouka and Puu.

Therefore, I have a claim in this land and it is for you,t he ....
