Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claims for land at Haiku. There are 5 kihapai of potatoes in the Haiku /land/ of Z. Kaonohimaka. The witnesses are: 1. Kaauwai, 2. Kamakau, 3. Kipu, 4. Lokomaikai.
Furthermore, I have some claims at Haiku /in the land of/ Kahaleohu, some potato kihapais and some taro lo`is. 2 potato kihapai are in front of Kalanikahua. At Kaluakini are 20 taro lo`i. There is one entire `Ili, named Pulehu. The witnesses of these claims, from whom I received them, are: 1. Kaianui, 2. Waimaka, 3. Kahaleohu.
Here is another claim of mine, a potato kihapai which is a barren area, also, at Kuiaha, 1 potato kihapai and 2 taro lo`i. The witnesses, from whom I received these places I cultivate, are Kapihe and Kekahuna.

Paele, sworn, He has seen Paele's [sic?] 2 sections at Pauwela. 4 potato sections are at Kinaha [Kuiaha?]. Section 4 has taro and was from Kaha. Section 5 ws from Kapihe in 1839.
