Greetings to the Land Commissioners at Hale Kauwila in Honolulu: I, a man of the island of Kauai, hereby state to you my land claim which has been held from 1840 to 1848, until this day when it is stated to the commissioners whom the King of the Hawaiian Islands has appointed to confirm and award the claims of his subjects. On the east is Hakalau, on the south is Kamahale, on the west is Mahamoku, on the north is Hawaiiloaloa. My house claim is fifty by fifty. My witnesses are: Kimokeo, Ekela, Koi, Paaoao and Elika. May the Commission quiet title to the land.
