To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, the one whose name is below, hereby petition you for my land in the Ahupua'a of Mapulehu on Molokai. Its name is Palolou and it is situated as follows: Kaluanui is on the H.A. /northeast?/, and Kuakua is on the H.K. /southwest?/. The dimensions are shown on the diagram below:

This is my claim - my makuas received it from Kuakini, and it has been held from then until present when I have it, that is what I am telling you, the Commissioners to quiet land titles. I have some witnesses as to how this 'ili became mine, until this very day.
