Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim in an `Ili in the Ahupua`a of Halawa on the Island of Molokai, named Kaaaula. Kii, for Kaahu, is the `ili on the makai side, and Loloka, for Awailua is the `ili of the mauka side. This is taro land and also kula and it has been occupied from ancient times. A former konohiki, Paia, gave my makuas this land they are dead and I have inherited the land. the present konohiki is Timoteo. I have occupied and cultivated this land all that time. Formerly I went to the po`alima work but at this time am excused /bec ....
