To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, the one whose name is below,hereby state my claim, in the `ili of Kamakikepa, Ahupua`a of Moanalua, Island of Oahu. There are four taro lo`i and one kula, bounded on the north by the lo`i of Limalalau, on the east by a watercourse, on the south by the lo`i of Kulou, on the west, Kaawa's /land/. I believe it to be unfair for Kawaihele and Kaawa to include Pilo's place in their claims because it is Pilo's own place and should be transmitted to his heirs. No one had objected to him.

S. Kalama, sworn, I have seen Pilo's claim in Manukikepa of Moanalua in the same way as the testimony given above; however, Pilo has a true claim in Kanukikepa from Liliha himself. [herself?]
