Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim in the Ahupua`a of Halawa on the Island of Molokai; it is named Kiooiki. The name of the `ili makai is Kamoku and it is for Hulu. The mauka `ili is Kuewaewa and is for Ualani. The upper side is a Pali and the lower side is a stream, for Peleleu.

It has been held from the time of Kamehameha I until the present. Keawekuikaai, the konohiki, gave it to my makua; they ....
