Claim 4888, John O. Dominis for Mary Dominis, Honolulu, January 27, 1848
F.R. 7v3

To the Honorable Board of Commissioners, &c, &c.
Gentlemen: I submit to your investigation and decision my claim to a certain piece of land, mauka & adjoining the premises now occupied by me in Honolulu, being 120 ft. square. My title to it is as follows: My husband, the late John Dominis, purchased the premises of Richard Charlton, Esquire, called Beretania, and now occupied in part by William Miller, Esquire, at a Sheriff's sale made on 9th April 1844, which premises then purchased, included the piece for which I put in this claim. Afterwards on the 20th April 1844 my husband & myself conveyed the Charlton premises to Honorable G.P. Judd, acting on behalf of the Hawaiian Island Government for the sum of $7525, excepting, and expressly reserving, however, this piece of 120 feet square, which then belonged to those premises, as will be seen by the enclosed copy of a deed, the original of which, with other evidence I am ready to submit to the Board when called upon.
Signed, John O. Dominis for Mary Dominis

Now, therefore, now all men by these presents that J. Frederick W.
