Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I, Kalaeloa, of Piihonua, Hilo, have a house lot claim which is stated to you, the servants of the Government. My lot is 35 fathoms by 30 fathoms - it is rectangular. The time when I occupied this place and it became a house lot of mine was on the arrival of Lopailani /Lord Byron/ in Hilo, in 1824.
