Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have a claim in an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Halawa on the Island of Molokai, the Island of Molokai, which is named Maniania. The `ili on the makai side is Hapuhewa, for Inui, and the mauka `ili is Kahakapiele, for Lupua.

Its length is 146 fathoms and its width is 13 fathoms. This is taro land, and also kula land.

Paia was the konohiki who gave it to Mailou; when Mailou died it was left to Naone, his keiki; when Naone died it was bequeathed to me. Timoteo is the present konohiki.
