Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I hereby state to you that I, Kuhilani, have a claim for land, an `Ili, Paouou, in Paeahu. On the north is Nena, on the east is Nakuhulu, on the south is Paouou Two, on the west is the highway. The witness is Pahu.
Furthermore, there are 2 moku mau`u*, and 1 grove of lauhala. The witness is Kamaokai.
Furthermore, there are 5 mala of Irish potatoes. The witness is Kaneiholanli.
Furthermore, there is a house site, makai of Alamanini. On the north is a house lot, on the east is a stream, on the south is a landing, on the west is a sea. The witness is Pahu. I believe I have a claim to these things, therefore I so state to you, the Land Commissioners.

I, Kuhilani have bought from W. Goodale, 7 acres of land in section 7, moo 3 of Paeahu, Maui, to be conveyed to me forever for $38.00 and because W. Goodale had consented to this, I am relinquishing the two remaining sections. I have no claim there.
