Kalawaianui, sworn, he has seen the house lot of Kahalemake in Kopili, close to Lahaina. Uluhoaloha had given that place to Kahalemake because he did the selling of Uluhoaloha's planting products to the (crew) whaling ships. Uluhoaloha had related this to Kalawaianui, but he does not know whether the land had been given permanently.

.... ai has seen Kahalemake's deed, he had brought it to him and Richards at Beletane in Lahaina here. Both Kaauwai and Richards read that deed in November 1846 and gave it to Kaehu their secretary. Kuakamauna, Imiwale and Kalaipaihala had also come on that day.
