To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby state my claim for your consideration, as follows:
Puhauolu is an `ili in the ahupua`a of Waihee, Maui. I received my land from Hoapili kane in 1829 and I have occupied it until this day. My occupancy at this time is under Kamamaluhaeoku.
I also have an ahupua`a at Kaanapali, a district of Maui. Its name is Alaeloa and it was given me by Hoapili kane in 1838, and /I possess it/ until this day, under A. Paki who had it from Konia.

Z. Kaauwai, sworn, he has seen this interest. Puhanolu in the Waihee ahupuaa. The 29 Poaha (Thursday) patches are for Kekauai. This interest was given by Hoapili in 1829, no one has objected to him.
Kahapaina sworn He has seen this interest which belongs to Kekauai at Keopukaloa in Molokai. This is an overseer for Keopuka under the King.
