To the Honorable Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby state my claim for lo'i land. I have some lo'is at Kalawahine, Honolulu, Island of Oahu. It is bounded on the north by the land of Kaoani, on the east by the land of Helela, on the south by the land of Mahana, on the west by the stream of Waikahalulu.

He had received this place from Makahopu in 1833 before the death of Nahienaena and he has been there to the present, except for a protest once, but Makahopu has now given it permanently and directing, "The center of the area, whereon you have planted the foreign trees, is for you and he is now living there."
