Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I have some land in an 'ili in the Ahupua'a of Pelekunu on the Island of Molokai. Its name is Papakea. On the north it is 21 fathoms, on the south it is 10 fathoms, on the east it is 136 fathoms and on the west, 136 fathoms.

This is taro land which I occupied in the time of Kamehameha III. The present konohiki, Kapuai, gave me this land. I request you, if my claim is found valid, to award it to me.

.... he konohiki. The kalo patches were cultivated for the konohiki for two years from which time, claimed [claimant] has cultivated them for himself, when Ilae took the kalo patches from claimant and gave them to the konohiki. Claimant made no objection.
