N.R. 398v6

Greetings to the Land Commissioners: In the ahupua`a of Mahinhina, which is possessed by Paki, I am a subject under him, and I have a claim for the place I made with my own hands; however this is an ancient right from the time of the makuas, and we, the keikis have a long standing right at this place.

That claim is for kula planted in sweet potatoes, and a kahawai /valley area/ planted with bananas, olona and sugar cane. I also have a house claim. It is enclosed by a fence. However, it is in another place, it is not in our land claim. There are also some lo`i in the ku of the ahupua`a, in Honokawai, a total of 9 /lo`i/.
