Greetings to the Land Commissioners: In the `ili of Hakioa in Makaweli, island of Kauai, is a kihapai and a house which stands in another place, also a kula, which is mine. Niupoloina is a lo`i which is entered with the house, and Kaahakoali is another lo`i they are in the same place.

Kahalaia gave it to Kaniuhi and Kaniuhi gave it to me. I have had it until this time. It is bounded as follows: On the north Kanekula, 1 chain; on the east, Kumuhawane, 6 chains 2 fathoms, on the south, a water course and Kakalae, 4 chains; on the south /sic/, is Kaohia, 10 fathoms 2 feet. Go to the north east, 2 chains, on the north is a boundary of Kaahakoali; go to the north 7 chains on that course on the west is Kaaha ....
