Royal Patent,
Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land titles have by their decision awarded unto Anthony Catalina, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, and hereafter described, and whereas the said Anthony Catalina has commuted the said estate as awarded, for a Fee Simple in accordance with the Laws.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given Absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto the said Anthony Catalina for the consideration of twelve 50/100 Dollars paid into the Royal Exchequer all that certain piece of land at Lahaina in the Island of Maui and described by Surveyed boundaries as follows:
Commencing at Southwest corner of this lot & Paling fence enclosing it, joining Street leading into church and narrow alley seperating [sic] this from lot owned by Charles Kanaina and running North 74° 15 ....
