Royal Patent upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Joseph Booth, Claim No. 274, an estate for life in and to the land hereafter described to go to his Hawaiian born children and their heirs, they being Hawaiian subjects forever.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this royal patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given unto Joseph Booth, all that certain piece of land situate at Koula, Honolulu, in the Island of Oahu, and described by surveyed boundaries as follows:
Commencing at stake 6 feet makai of King Street & 22 4/12 feet mauka of Kaina's Northeast corner ([?] walled in) and in line with Kaina's East wall and boundary and running
South 22° West 11 chains 50 2/12 feet along boundary line between this land, Kaina's and Kamaka's to stake at Southwest corner of fishpond & belonging to this land, thence
South 78 1/4° East 1 chain 52 8/12 feet along ridge between this and Pehu's fishpond, thence
South 50° East 43 7/12 feet along mauka side of two huts to J. Booth's large fishpond, thence
South 33 1/4° West 21 2/12 feet to corner of large pond, thence
South 42 1/2° East 1 chain 58 feet along ridge between large pond and Pehu's to angle, thence
South 7 1/2° West 64 feet along ridge between ponds to angle, thence
South 24° West 39 7/12 feet to corners of fishponds, thence
South 66° 3 ....
