Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto C. Kanaina for W.C. Lunalilo, Claim No. 247, Apana 2, 4, 6 & 7,
An estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas Charles R. Bishop & Charles Kanaina on the 30th day of July A.D. 1870, as Guardians of the Person and Property of His Royal Highness, William C. Lunalilo by a deed of conveyance recorded in the Office of Registry office [sic] in Honolulu in Liber 38 on pages 55 & 56 have conveyed to the Hawaiian Government a certain parcel of land in consideration of the Government commutation in the land hereinafter described.

Comprising an area of 619-9 fathoms

Containing 3 « Acres 3 Roods 12 Perches, more or less, excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government all mineral or metallic mines of every description.

To Have and to Hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said C. Kanaina for W.C. Lunalilo, [his] Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all Landed Property held in Fee Simple.

In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, this 17th day of June, 1873.
