ROYAL PATENT.
Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission.

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto  M. Kekuanaoa and Kamaikui, Kuleana Helu 7712 and 8516B an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas Pane Kekelaokalani and R. Keelikolani (by her agent W.P. Leleiohoku) have applied to the Minister of the Interior that a Royal Patent in Fee Simple be issued unto them, and have filed with him a certificate of the Boundaries of said land from the Commissioner of Boundaries for the Island of Oahu and whereas by a Resolution by the Privy Council, during the reign of His Majesty Kamehameha III, the Government commutation therein was relinquished.

THEREFORE, Lunalilo Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and ....

.... Keilapaie (which is in Halawa) & Kahakupohaku; thence
21. Along the East shore of Pearl River Bay to the sea; including the Island of Kuahua and all fish ponds now skirting this coast, and along the seashore to initial point, the line being the high water mark & fish pond walls along above mentioned shores.

Containing – an area of 8712 -  Acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral and metallic mines of every description;

To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said  M. Kekuanaoa & Kamaikui, their Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all Landed Property held in Fee Simple.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Island to be affixed, this twenty-seventh day of October 1875.
