ROYAL PATENT.
Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission.

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto  Kekuaiwahia (Kaele hooilina), Kuleana Helu 53 [53MA] an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas Herman Poka, the present occupier of the said land has presented to the Minister of the Interior a survey of One-half of the Ili of Kahoia, the above mentioned kuleana as agreed by the respective parties concerned, the outside and boundary of which being that settled and certified by L.M. McCully, boundary Commissioner for the Island of Oahu, on the 6th day of May, A.D. 1875. And has paid into the Royal Exchequer the sum of Forty Dollars ($40.x)  the Government commutation therein.

THEREFORE, Lunalilo Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal P ....

Containing – an area of Ninety (90) -  Acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral and metallic mines of every description;

To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said  Kekuaiwahia (Kaele hooilina) Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all Landed Property held in Fee Simple.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Island to be affixed, this 12th day of March 1876.
