ROYAL PATENT.
Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission.

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto A. Keohokalole, Mahele Award No. 45 Land Commission Award 8452, Apana 12, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas Lydia Kamakaeha Dominis the present occupier of the Ahupuaa of Keahuolu has applied to the Minister of the Interior for a Royal Patent for said Ahupuaa and has filed a certified copy of the boundaries of the said land from the Commissioner of Boundaries for the Island of Hawaii. And whereas the Government Commutation thereon was relinquished by a resolution of the Privy Council during the reign of Kamehameha III.

THEREFORE, Lunalilo Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto  A. Keohokalole,  all that certain piece of land situate at North Kona, known as the Ahupuaa of Keahuolu, in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:

Commencing at a point at the sea shore called Kaiwi, boundary between this land and the land of Kealakehe K; thence running mauk ....

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Island to be affixed, this Eighteenth day of January 1877
