Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto M. Kekauonohi, L.C. Award 11216, Apana 5 an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas proper application having been made to the Minister of Interior by W.C. Jones, attorney, for the Wainiha Company for a Royal Patent for the within mentioned land, and the government commutation thereon was relinquished by an Order of the Privy Counc ....

.... o the Hawaiian Government, all mineral and metallic mines of every description;
To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said M. Kekauonohi, [her] Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all Landed Property held in Fee Simple.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Island to be affixed, this 10 day of December, 1878.
