Land Patent No. 8146 In Confirmation of Land Commission Award

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet land titles did by Land Commission Award No. 7716 award to R. Keelikolani, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial in the land hereinafter described:

And whereas proper application having been made to the Commissioner of Public Lands by F.S. Dodge on behalf of the Trustees under the Will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop for a Patent on the herein described land, and whereas a certificate of boundaries defining the same having been duly filed and the Government Commutation thereon was released by resolution of the Privy Council August 27th, 1850 and by surrender of various lands to the Government, as set forth and of record in Volume 3 of Foreign Testimony on page 411,

Therefore, the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the Laws of the
United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, by this Patent makes known to all men that he has this day granted and confirmed absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto M. R. Keelikolani, all of the land situate at Kuia, in the District of Lahaina, Island of Maui, bounded and described as follows:

Apana 10.
Beginning at the south corner of this lot on South side of road at North corner of Land Commission Award 374, A. Sylva"s and running as follows by magnetic bearings;

1. North 40° 00" West 146.8 feet crossing road along Land Commission Award 650, Wa ....
